First garden salad

The harvesting has begun. Last evening I had my first salad from the garden. It wasn’t anything too fancy, just a mesclun-style mix of young greens: spinach, arugula, butter lettuce and Swiss chard with slices of the first radish. Be it ever so humble, there’s no meal like home-grown salad.
I have a few strawberry plants, so each day I’ve been picking a couple, washing them gently and biting into them as they’re still warm from the sun. Heaven!
